"Andy Warhol" is the 8th song of the album "Hunky Dory" by David Bowie.
Bowie wrote this song to express the similarity between him and the famous artist of Campbell soups.
He feels so close to Warhol despite the 20 years of difference because they both are eccentric and
outstanding:
their metting in 1971 made the musician's shows even more powerful and dynamic, as if he wanted to
make artistic performances.
In the lyrics of this song, Bowie used some references to Warhol's masterpieces that had catched
consumerism, to
announce that he can be a white canvas where it is possible to engrave his status of rockstar.
«Like to take a cement fix
Be a standing cinema...

I'd like to be a gallery
Put you all inside my show...»
